The pull track at the Jackson Junior Fair will be a beehive of activity all week long.
Bob Montaq is bringing his Rafter M Rodeo on July 25 at 7 p.m. Sponsored by Dutch Miller Auto Group, it promises to be filled with exciting events including bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, roping, barrel racing, bull riding, calf roping and mutton busting which is geared toward children.
The ATV races on July 26 are exciting to watch. The racers have 200 feet to determine the winner. It showcases high performance all-terrain vehicles beginning at 7 p.m.
The ever-popular Demolition Derby, also sponsored by the Dutch Miller Auto Group, will take place on July 2 at 7 p.m. Specifications are exact, including vehicles being any American made hard-top car with four or six cylinders and a wheelbase of 108 inches or less. Participants must wear a helmet, long sleeves, gloves and eye protection.
On July 28 and July 29, prepare to watch trucks get down and dirty. The Mud Racing on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and the Mud Bog Deep Pit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday will see trucks of different classes churn up the track to see who can pull the farthest.
Perhaps the biggest draw of the track events is the final one, the Tractor Pull. Sponsored by NGK Spark Plugs Inc, modified farm tractor and pro farm turbo tractor drivers will demonstrate their skills. There will be cash prizes for various placements. This event will be on July 30 at 7 p.m. followed by a 4-Wheel Drive Pull at 8 p.m.
Admission to all these events is included in the day or season passes to the fair.
