Other upgrades include Bosch injectors, a Bosch temperature sensor, and an ECU tune that brings with it a number of switchable drive modes. The upgrades result in 250 hp and 213 lb-ft (288 Nm) of torque. This kit costs £4,995 ($6,759) including installation at BBR’s UK facility in Brackley. Those who are happy to install the kit themselves can purchase it for £4,095 ($5,541) with just the hardware upgrades or £4,590 ($6,211) with the optional BBR software.

A Stage Two package is also available. This one has all the same features as the Stage One kit but adds a BBR fuel module, NGK Iridium spark plugs, an engine-mounted fuel filter, a new intake restrictor, and a bespoke ECU tune. This variant pumps out 300 hp and 227 lb-ft (308 Nm) of torque.

This second package for the MX-5 can be purchased for £5,995 ($8,113) when installed by BBR, £4,795 ($6,489) for the DIYers out there, and £5,290 ($7,158) for all the hardware and the optional software upgrades.

Finally, both the Stage One and Stage Two packages add launch control, flat shifting, and auto-downshifting throttle blipping.
